The Shop's Garden
Guitar House Workshop’s Garden
The shop’s garden started as a few square feet somewhere around 2011, and has grown steadily every year. Fruits, vegetables and flowers grow (mostly) happily together. We welcome visitors to sit and enjoy the sights and sounds, play music, sample something interesting or just wander a bit for fun. Over the years, our garden has included red raspberries, black raspberries, black berries, strawberries, grapes, rhubarb, lettuce, spinach, kale, brussel sprouts, celery, soybeans, sweet peas, snow peas, green beans, wax beans, tomatoes, onions, parsley, basil, sage, cilantro, lavender, okra, sweet corn, watermelons, butternut squash, zucchini squash, carrots, radishes, and more kinds of peppers than we want to admit. We have young peach and cherry trees too! Three apple trees were planted in the Spring of 2023. Mother Nature helps us out some years more than others, but we try so many things that each year we have some to eat and some to share. Watching young kids pull carrots out of the ground, or grapes off the vine fosters a special sense of abundance not found in many other moments.
