A graduate of The Ohio State University with a BA in Music, Ryan Sullivan has nearly a decade of teaching experience. An active performing artist as well, you may have seen Ryan around town over the last several years. Ryan’s played with a variety of bands including Andy Shaw Band, Mister Anderson, MojoFlow, G Finesse, Black Eagle, Lady Bird and the Throwbacks, The Common Drive, Jimmy Riggs, New Covenant Believers Church, and Upper Arlington Lutheran Church, to name a few.
Mr. Sullivan’s approach is to provide individualized lessons that fit each student’s musical goals and skill level. Ryan teaches a wide variety of acoustic and electric styles including Pop, Rock, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Blues, Funk, Soul, Neo Soul, R&B, Folk, and Country. Areas of instruction include lead and rhythm guitar technique, strumming/rhythmic patterns, finger picking, flat picking, music theory, ear training, improvising, sight reading, and songwriting/composition. Mr. Sullivan also provides assistance with audition and performance preparation. Ryan is comfortable teaching students of all ages and ability.
